Daniel Gendre was born and educated in Geneva. He learned
photography in London where he spent 4 years assisting well
 known photographers such as, Bookbinder ,Phil Jude and Duffy
Returning to Switzerland Gendre worked as an advertising
photographer for over 30 years. His work has been published
widely and recognised with a number of exhibitions and awards.
His photographs have been purchased by The „Swiss Photographic
Foundation “Kunsthaus Zürich for their collection.
With the help of the Swiss Department of Foreign Affairs, his work  on
Russia in 1970 was  exhibited in 2009 at the Russian National Museum
in Saint-Petersburg a book was  published by „Offizin Verlag Zürich..
Gendre’s work was selected in 2011 for a public presentation
at the Musée de l’Elysée in Lausanne.
Today Gendre works in Zürich
